the tooth fairy pays (no pun intended lol) a visit

while xavier is on spring break he has a journal to write in to chronicle his time away from school. he has been diligent about making sure he writes something everyday. he's getting better about figuring out how to spell words. while helping him i am reminded just how crazy the english language really is. originally he wrote excited the exact way that it sounds. when i helped him re-write it he told me..."now that just looks crazy". along with the word "said"...sounded out it should look "sed"...arg! anyway, in his drawing he listed the 4 steps to get the tooth fairy to visit. 1) tooth 2) missing from your mouth 3) put into special tooth fairy bag 4) she visits

two gone
one gone...he looks like he need to shave his "stash" which he's had since he was born!

basketball wrap up party

our end of the season party was held at Pasta Veloce. they got to make their own pizzas, hang out with the team and have ice cream...YUMMMMMMMMMMMM the coveted trophies. they are sooooooooooo cute....bobble heads...never seen ones like this before!

sitting on the side lines waiting to be put in the game can be boring...

dribble, dribble, dribble...SHOOT! brian has taught the kids to dribble 3 times before shooting to help prevent traveling...xavier took it seriously and i could swear i hear him counting in his head....1, 2, 3...shoot.

xavier was a great defender his arms always in the hair ready to block!

xavier and his new snake "carl"

this was the souvenir he bought at the zoo store. a snake he named carl...go figure. he was going to use his own money, but when he dumped out his wallet full of pennies, nickles quarters ect...brian said "it's on me man!"

a day at the zoo

friday was brian's last day of freedom before he started his new job, so we packed up all of the kids and went to the zoo. this was marcella and quincy's first time there...xavier is a vet. she had so much fun...i think she just liked the freedom of running around the zoo. she was such a good girl and followed directions, no melt downs, such a great day! xavier was a fabulous big brother and looked after marcella making sure she wasn't in any danger. we reminised about all of our zoo trips when he broke his leg. the weather was beautiful, cold but sunny. what a wonderful day as a family... we always take a pic with this bear before we leave

steller cove sea lions

this is still my favorite exhibit at the zoo. i have MANY memories of this place when xay broke his leg and we went to the zoo everyday because there wasn't much else to do. we would spend a lot of time there one because it was soooooo much cooler there than anywhere else, two when they swim it's like magic! today, while we were standing at the glass watching them swim, one of them swam up sloooooowwwwwly to the window, came up nose to nose to it with his eyes closed and then swam across almost like he was kissing the little kids there.....sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo cute :)

xavier's basketball team

this year brian is coaching xavier's basketball team. i was able to go to his game today to watch him play. i was so impressed with all of the kids. they made baskets, they had smiles on their faces and just had an all around great time. xay made a basket and looked out of the corner of his eye to see if i saw him make it...and then "the nod" of "YES!".
