it feels as though i was just writing about xavier's last day of kindergarten and here i am writing about his first day of the first grade. where did the summer go?!?! i remember the anxious feeling and anticipation of the first day. you wanted to look JUST right, feel just right. above was xavier's long thought outfit. the shoes were a big purchase for him. skater shoes...aka...cool shoes. he rode the bus up to school by himself and i drove up there to meet him and to see his new teacher. his classroom had some familiar faces from last year and lots of new ones. all of the kids had the same shell shocked look, like oh crap, what do i do next?! i am excited for the year to come, although i am sad to see summer go.
