we carved our pumpkins tonight

all day today xavier has been reminding me that tomorrow is halloween. he can barly contain himself. he got to wear his costume to school today and they had a party with games, an all school assembly where they sang songs, and a parade through out the whole school. it was a big day. so before he went to bed last night i had to pinky swear (and we all know you can't go back on a pinky swear so you better be sure you can deliver) that i would get the pumpkins ready to carve when he got home from school. for some reason he doesn't like the "guts" of the pumpkin and is sicked out when trying to clean them out. so like a good mom i made sure i made good on the pinky swear. when he got home he drew the faces on the pumpkins and i cut them out. bellow are the pics of the pumpkin and ones of xavier with these weird eyeball things that he got at the party. i liked the way the top looked on this pumpkin

brian was a "lucky duck" as xavier would say and got go on the pumpkin patch field trip with xavier and his 1st grade class. they were both so excited about his day and could hardly wait for the end of october to get here. xavier whispered to me the night before "mom, i can't believe that dad is taking off of work to go with me, that is so cool" the best part is dad heard him whisper it to me and it made brian smile. anyway, bellow are some pictures from the days events. again with the crazy spacing between the pictures...sorry :( brian and his charges

i think i've mentioned marcella's baby doll and how much she means to her. she has several baby dolls but this one is her favorite. she goes every where with her, to bed every night...the baby is naked but marcella puts her socks on the baby, the store, stroller rides and she even takes a bath with her. she recently has started pushing her baby under the water to watch the bubbles come up (which can i tell you freaks me out, i just see quincy's face getting pushed down) anyway last night she got a bunch of water stuck in the head of the baby so i had to pull the baby's head off to get the water out. oh you should have seen marcella's face when i did that. she looked as if i had pulled quincy's head off. she started waving her hands around say "baby, baby, baby, head...mama baby's head!!" when i attached it back on she said "whew" and kissed the baby on the forehead. thankfully her baby is plastic so she should last a long time :)

spooky halloween party :)

so this is my FINAL attempt to post this blog...ARG! the pictures are really spaced out towards the end and my OCD took over and i've tried to correct it 5 times...so this is it spaces and all i just gotta deal.
today was xavier's halloween party and man was it fun! we made crafts, made hootwiches, and ate some monster rice crispy treats that were to die for..lol...funny. 8 of his friends from school and miss princess katy came a classmate from preschool (this is his girlfriend and i love that the two of them still call each other that and tell people that they will mary when they are older. i'll take katy as a daughter-in-law i LOVE her) so the following are a bunch of pictures (thank you jade for taking them they turned out great!) i also would like to say thank you to aunt tamera..she came and saved the day...i love you sis!
